53 Golden Pieces
When the night comes like an empress
Within my lone world to impress
Its silent seal of peace anew,
Right there in my quarter of gloom
Where my fears of the future looms
That’s when my dear I think of you.
When I ponder on what’s been talked
And the so many times I walked
Away, so to set myself free,
You leashed me right back at your feet
Where I so much long for my treat,
A docile dog as one can be…

In the realm of my audition
I feed on the deafening silence.
Not a bug is given a chance
On this, my side of horizon.
What times carries this cloudy sky
Who sneakily muffles the stars
But spreads from some beacon afar
That shade of brightness way up high?
Closer to me a soul shivers,
Into my arms a body trenches
But it’s in vain my thirst she quenches
So much is the horn she triggers…
